Generating Free Traffic

If you think you have to spend money to get traffic to your BANS stores, think again. BANS sites do very well in the search engines, but you can also get traffic using other methods. One way is to write some articles.

Writing articles via ezines is a very cost effective way of generating traffic, because it is absolutely free! What is also beneficial about writing articles is that you get good quality backlinks from the ezines, and other website owners will also use your article and link back to your BANS store from their websites.

If your BANS stores promote a specific kind of product, you can write an article related to the products you are promoting. For example, if you are promoting exercise equipment, you can write an article about your some simple steps someone can follow to lose weight, and then link to your BANS store via a resource box at the end of the article.

You can also submit your articles to Squidoo.com and Hubpages.com, although when you submit an article to either of these two resources, it is best to wait a couple of days before adding a link to your BANS store. Google will sometimes not index your articles from these Squidoo or Hubpages if you add a link at the time you submit your article (but outgoing links are fine at the time of submission with the 5 ezines listed above).

If you submit the same article to multiple sources online, it is important to change the title of your article for each ezine you submit the article to. This will enable your articles to come up with different keywords in the search engines.

If you decide to use the same article you used for ezines on your BANS stores for content pages, it is necessary to re-write the articles using new titles AND keywords. The reason for this is because you want to avoid duplicate content – you are going to hurt your Page Rank if you use the same articles that you submitted to ezines on your BANS stores. This does require a little work, but once you get good at it, you can rewrite an article in about 10 or 15 minutes.

Finally, when you are writing articles for ezines and the other online publications listed above, it is important to make sure that your articles provide value and do not look too much like advertisements. Online classifieds are also a great way to promote your websites. Unlike ezines, online classifieds allow you to be as self promotional as you want to!

One of the most well known online classifieds sites is USfreeads.com. They have a free service which allows you to post advertisements for free, or you can pay a little extra for their premium service, which allows you to put up unlimited classified ads for just $9.99 a month.

The main difference between their premium service and their free service is that the premium service allows you to do more things with your account, such as adding a ton of images, changing the font of the text, the background, add html, or pretty much whatever you want! Its like having your own little mini website!

Also, unlike ezines, which typically allow you to only link directly to your website in the resource box, USfreeads allows you to link to your website anywhere you want to within the advertisement!

Google Adwords

Google Adwords can be a great way to promote your BANS stores, but you have to be very careful when you do it – you can lose a lot of money if you do not know what you are doing. Because Google is such a complex topic, I suggest reading a good ebook on Adwords, such as Beating Adwords. Wealthy Affiliate also has some very good information about Adwords as well. Adding More Stores

One thing that I’ve noticed about BANS is that the more stores you have, the more money you can make. The great thing is that you can put up as many BANS stores as you want. Don’t Put All Your Eggs In One Basket!
